Ed eccoci qua, nonostante io non sia un “fan” degli album dal vivo, mi sono dovuto ricredere (ma questo capita spesso se si tratta di validi artisti!) e sono pronto a “buttar giù due righe” (termine obsoleto poiché oramai non scrive più nessuno....bensì si “digita sul pc hehehe...nda). La bionda guitar hero in questione a circa due anni dall'eccellente album solista “O” sempre da me recensito (potete curiosare e leggere la review scorrendo indietro nelle pagine della sezione recensioni....nda) ci propone questo live registrato in quel di Hollywood, accompagnata da altri -ottimi- musicisti e non dai fratelli Frederiksen complici dell'ottima riuscita delle parti ritmiche del già menzionato “O”. Ma, dunque, com'è questo “Live From Hollywood”? Beh....un live onesto, diretto, semplice ma dal forte impatto emotivo con un forte mood che pervade tutta la durata dello show. Una band di livello che accompagna la signorina Panagaris soprattutto per quanto concerne le parti di chitarra con ben altri due guitar player che riescono a conferire maggiore incisività per un risultato finale di sicuro effetto e danno la possibilità ad Orianthi di potere sfoggiare tutte le sue abilità tecniche ed il suo feeling nelle parti soliste di chitarra. I brani proposti sono un mix tra l'ultimo disco e altri pezzi tra cui il suo classico “According To You” (dall'album “Believe” 2009, nda). Inutile descrivere le canzoni poiché molti di voi le conosceranno già avendole sentite in studio; la cosa importante, che poi è la base per qualsiasi live album, è la capacità di trasmettere qualcosa di profondo, di ammaliare l'ascoltatore e stupirlo creandogli la magia che solo un'esibizione dal vivo può fare. Non, quindi, l'abilità di svolgere il compitino perfetto e riprodurre fedelmente i pezzi registrati in studio ma, importantissimo, la capacità di improvvisare, di fare -bene- slide guitar, di iniettare elettricità agli ascoltatori. D'altronde la nostra chitarrista fonde al meglio un modern rock con tanto blues e hard blues e, dal vivo, non può che uscirne una miscela esplosiva! Se proprio volete un esempio beh...ascoltatevi cosa “esce da quella sei corde” nell'esecuzione della melodica e superba “Blues Won't Leave Me Alone“ (song scritta con Richie Sambora e presente su Rso “Radio Free America” album del 2018, project album dell'ex Bon Jovi con presente la nostra biondina, nda), brano che da solo vale l'acquisto del cd! Disco consigliatissimo a tutti, anche a chi non l'ha mai ascoltata; in questo caso sarebbe l'occasione perfetta per poi “accaparrarsi” tutti i suoi dischi in studio.

So what is this “Live From Hollywood” like? Well .... an honest, direct, simple live but with a strong emotional impact with a strong mood that pervades the entire duration of the show. A level band that accompanies Miss Panagaris especially as regards the guitar parts with two other guitar players who manage to give greater incisiveness for a final result of sure effect and give Orianthi the possibility of being able to show off all his technical skills and his feeling in the lead guitar parts. The proposed songs are a mix between the latest album and other pieces including his classic “According To You” (from the album “Believe” 2009, ed.). It is useless to describe the songs as many of you will already know them having heard them in the studio; the important thing, which is the basis for any live album, is the ability to convey something profound, to charm the listener and amaze him by creating the magic that only a live performance can do. Not, therefore, the ability to carry out the perfect homework and faithfully reproduce the pieces recorded in the studio but, very important, the ability to improvise, to make-well-slide guitar, to inject electricity to the listeners. On the other hand, our guitarist blends modern rock with a lot of blues and hard blues and, live, an explosive mixture can only come out! If you really want an example well ... listen to what "comes out of those six strings" in the performance of the melodic and superb "Blues Won't Leave Me Alone" (song written with Richie Sambora and featured on Rso "Radio Free America" ​​album of 2018, project album by the former Bon Jovi with our blonde in mind, nda), a song that alone is worth the purchase of the cd!
